The technological world is growing more complex by the day.
At the same time, it becomes ever more central to the way we live and the way we do business.
In an environment as fluid as this – and COVID19 was a prime example of just how fluid things can get – it’s important to build close relationships with people that you can trust.
My name’s Dan Chamberlain, and I’m an IT consultant and project manager specialising in the small-to-medium size enterprise (SME) market. For the past decade I’ve been helping businesses and institutions across all sectors adapt to the changing technological landscape and, ultimately, to solve their problems.
Why me?
I chose the tagline “Transparency in tech” because this is the core tenet of my business philosophy.
In my years providing IT consultancy and support to businesses of all stripes, I started to realise how pivotal a role communication, trust, and reliability were becoming in my working relationships with customers. Once I reached a certain level in my career, I realised that technical talent - the so-called ‘hard skills’ of IT - were actually supremely common, and there was no shortage of ability. What separated the truly successful teams from everybody else, though, was integrity and clear communication…and this was much rarer.
To even the most experienced company, its own technology can become a bit of a ‘black box’, especially over time. Between different teams, vendors, third-party platforms, agencies, miscommunication and obfuscation can run rife. Where I started to differentiate myself from the competition was by becoming as open and as transparent as possible in all my professional dealings, and to put communication and rapport at the forefront of all that I do.
I have found this approach to be a far better way of working - and a breath of fresh air for my clients.
